Every job done right. Step by step. Without you standing over it.
Stpldgr turns each job into an itemized list of steps. The next step stays locked until the last one is proven. Your crew gets clear tasks on a tablet. You get a record of who did what, and when, so problems get caught on the job, not after the callback.
Your whiteboard can't stop a skipped step.
Most trade jobs still run on a board, a text thread and memory. It works until the day it doesn't.
Without it
- You find the missed step after the customer calls
- Photos live in six different phones
- Nobody can say who did the last task, or when
- You check on jobs by calling, texting, driving over
- Warranty and payment disputes come down to "he said, she said"
With Stpldgr
- A step can't start until the one before it is proven
- Every step carries its own photo, reading and timestamp
- Each task has a name on it, and a record behind it
- You only hear about the exceptions
- One closeout binder per job, ready for the customer or inspector
Describe the job. The crew follows the steps.
Four moves, from the office to the closeout.
Plan
Describe the job or pick a template. The planning agent builds the itemized steps, up to 200, with hold points and proof requirements.
Assign
Steps go to people with the right role and license. An apprentice can't be handed a licensed task.
Lock
Only the next step is open. Finish it with a photo or a reading, and the next one unlocks. No skipping ahead.
Close
When the last step clears, the closeout agent assembles the binder, warranty and billing paperwork for your review.
Follow one job from the first call to the final invoice.
Eight stages, the same on every job. Pick a stage to see who acts, what the system enforces, and what the owner sees.
Describe the job
Type the scope the way you would say it. The Plan agent turns it into an ordered, itemized job.
- Reads the scope: 3 rooftop units and a split system
- Builds the step list (up to 200 steps) with photo and reading requirements and hold points
- Assigns each step to someone with the right role and license
- Sets the site boundary from the address or the phone at the site
Starts with HVAC. Plumbing and electrical come next.
HVAC gets starter templates you can edit to match how your company does the work.

Stop micro-managing. Manage the exceptions.
The owner dashboard shows only what needs you. Everything running to plan stays out of your way.
Stalled steps
A step sitting idle gets flagged, the assignee is nudged, and you see it before the day is lost.
Flagged readings
An out-of-range reading can't be passed without a note. You review it once, on the job.
Overrides and blocks
Supervisors can override a step, but only with a reason on record. Every blocked skip is logged.
Hold points and photo sign-off
Critical steps wait for sign-off. The crew sends a photo to your phone; accept to release the next step, counter with a note, or decline.
Crew time and waiting
Crews check in and out. When they are waiting on supplies, they say why, and you see the crew-hours lost. Extra time is a request you approve or deny.
Site-boundary check-in
Check-in, check-out and photo proof are stamped with the phone's location. Anyone outside the job boundary is flagged to you.
Twenty crews, one foreman
The Foreman agent works every crew's job in parallel. The field board shows each crew's step, check-in and wait at a glance.
Closeout binders
Photos, readings and timestamps assembled into one record per job, with warranty and invoice drafts.
Tamper-evident log
Every action is chained to the one before. Change a past entry and the chain visibly breaks.
Six autonomous agents work every job.
They plan, enforce, check, watch and close out without being asked. People keep the final say on licensed work, hold points, sign-off and invoices.
Plan
Builds the step list from the job description.
Gate
Enforces order, role and license.
Proof
Requires the photo or reading, flags bad values.
Watch
Spots stalled steps and alerts you.
Foreman
Works with the tech. Checks nothing was skipped before a step closes.
Closeout
Builds the binder and billing drafts.

What would it cost for your crew?
Predictable for owners
A flat company fee covers the office, the dashboard and the records, so the bill doesn't jump with every job.
Pay for who uses it
You add a field user when you add a crew member. A small shop pays less than a large one.
No surprises
No setup fee, no per-job charge, no long contract. Cancel any time.
Tell us about your company.
We set up your templates, your crew and your tablets with you. HVAC companies with 5 to 50 employees are the best fit.
Questions
Do my techs need to be tech-savvy?
The crew sees one task at a time, with big buttons. Take the photo, enter the reading, tap complete.
What if a step really can't be done in order?
A supervisor can override a step. It requires a reason, and the override is flagged on the record.
Does it replace my scheduling or accounting software?
Not at the start. Stpldgr runs the job itself, step by step, and produces the closeout record. Billing and scheduling integrations come later.
Is the record legally binding?
It is a time-stamped, tamper-evident log of what your crew recorded. It supports warranty, inspection and payment conversations. It is not legal or code-compliance certification.
How does the location check work?
Each job has a boundary around the site. When a tech checks in, checks out or submits a step, the app asks the phone for its location once and compares it to the boundary. You choose whether outside check-ins are flagged to you or refused. It does not track phones in the background, and the tech must allow location in the phone's settings.
What if a crew is stuck waiting on supplies?
They report the wait and the reason. You see the crew-hours lost and who is on site, and any request for more time comes to you to approve or deny with a note.
Can one person manage a lot of crews?
Yes. The Foreman agent follows each crew's job at the same time, up to 20 crews online per day at the start. You set how many are online each morning.
Where is my data?
Each company's records are kept separate from every other company's, and every job record is tamper-evident.
